Matless cutting provides a convenient and efficient option for a variety of select materials. Materials that can be cut without a SINGER® MOMENTO™ mat include vinyl, heat transfer vinyl, and adhesive-backed materials. Steps to Cut without a Mat
- Push the pinch wheel lever down to unlock
- Adjust the pinch wheels to the size of your material.
- To ensure the best results, all pinch wheels must be in contact with the material
Note: It is important that the far right pinch wheel make contact with the material to ensure proper feeding through the machine.

- Once the pinch wheels are in the correct positions, raise the pinch wheel lever to lock them in place.
- Push the material forward until it makes contact with the pinch wheel rollers. On the screen, touch the “Load Mat” button to load the material.
- The machine will pull the material back and forth, stopping with the top edge securely under the pinch wheels.
- In the Software, load the design and select "no mat" and the appropriate material.
- When the cut is complete, press the Eject button to unload the material.
Pro Tip: It is recommended to perform a test cut when adjusting settings or starting new cuts. This ensures that the settings and pinch wheel positioning are correct for optimal results
